Video Scenes by Mr Brian Hayes

Grateful thanks now extend to Huthwaite resident and one remote relative Mr Brian Hayes. Offering his amataur video coverage allowed creation of this magnificent album helping record earlier village losses.

My camera use only started in frustration by missing ability to capture demolition and loss of two historic Huthwaite pubs. I remain amazed finding Brian has managed capturing those scenes on video. Covering not only a sudden 2000 demolition of The Portland Arms long sited cornering Skegby Road onto Sutton Road, but also the Tute whose firstly discussed loss inspired my research into producing fuller history online.

These stills represent just few of those captured from movie recordings kindly donated for our historic reminder. Pleased also finding someone who did share earlier local interests, including Huthwaite employment at New Hucknall Colliery.
